Default Ranked Crafter Weapons in GWEN should be Gold.

Assuming this skins do not drop and are only avalible from the Norn/Asura/Vanguard/Dwarf crafters. Since you have to work for the rank in the first place as well as provide all the mats and pay the crafting fee, I feel these items should be gold, not blue.

If a monster dropped a giant turd and it was gold, you people would want it, right?

Getting to rank 6 is quite easy.
Purple fits that much better.

Who cares really.... it takes more time than most crafters but it seems like those who finished it are saying "its not THAT hard"... so if everyone can get do it then why make gold? its just going to be like the bison cup where everyone has a few...anyway so i guess make it gold if you want but.... WHY?!

Psychological.

That's it.

Some persons have it in their head that color somehow makes a weapon "better" in either a gameplay sense or monetary.

The color system denotes rarity, and how "perfect" a weapon is as far as game-mechanics are concerned. Crafter weapons are perfect, and as common as people are willing to work for them. They should be exempt from the color system (or gain their own color.)

So because of that color system, many in-duh-viduals (thank you Scott Adams) have it in their head that Gold is automatically better than Purple, which is better than Blue REGARDLESS of the stats.

That's the only difference that I can see.

There's no difference in the item if the text is blue or gold. I don't expect Anet will bother changing it.

Without colors showing in the Weapon pinging, this would have no use, though.

No one here stated that think believe Golds are 'better' than purples. It's simply a matter of completion. If crafter weapons are to be exempt from this concept they should not be given the same color as items of the second lowest rarity, rather they should have their own color.

I don't like the fact that it's impossible to get a pair of gold norn daggers is all.

That's pretty much what Spectral Essence is. Eidolon turds.

/signed, anyway.

Hehe, why not Purple collector items?

this is not what i thought it was about o well i say my idea how about you dont need any rank to create the wepeons but every rank makes the wep cooler/bigger/with more additions and the final level is gold and the first is blue

Too cheap and easy to get to be gold, doesn't make sense. They are just crafter items. Tormenteds are different, they are meant to be high end and 'elite'.

/not signed, no good reason for such a change
